If you have an Android device, online access, and $0.00 to spare, you may be interested to learn that Fort Courage is now available on Google Play from developer Human Head Studios (Prey series, Rune). If your device is powered by Tegra, the news gets even better because Fort Courage is enhanced for devices powered by Nvidia's quad-core Tegra 3 processor for added effects and animation. While the game is entirely free to download for your Android device, upgrades and items are available through optional in-app purchases.

“Bored at school and falling asleep in class,” the store description reads, “you dream up hiding out in a fort deep within a dinosaur jungle, sneaking into a forbidden monster lab, and hacking into a robot factory on the surface of Mars!”

You are quite the dreamer, it would seem. Or perhaps you are a 12-year-old boy, which is the demographic at which the game appears to be most precisely aimed. Let’s not kid ourselves, though; nearly anyone with a beating heart secretly likes forts and dinosaurs.

“Armed only with your wits and imagination,” the store description adds, “you must defend against waves of relentless enemies. Protect yourself with an arsenal of awesome toy weapons and cool power-ups.”

Considering the fact that it’s your imagination that got you into this jam in the first place, hopefully those toy weapons are enough to stall the approach of ravenous dinosaurs and aliens and such.

The game boasts the following features:

  • 3 fantastic locations
  • 9 character skins
  • 10 upgradable power-ups

  • 13 upgradable toy weapons
  • 15 unique enemies + 3 cool bosses
  • Over 120 stages
  • Over 80 hours of challenging gameplay!
  • Online Leaderboards and virtual currency with GREE!

We’ve always had a soft spot for dinosaurs and forts, as you might have gathered. Now that a free game is offering the chance to dive into an imaginative world that promises so much action and so many hours of play, well… let’s just say we’re intrigued.
