Square Enix is celebrating their first anniversary on Google Play by giving fans the treat of a rare (temporary) price cut, trimming the tag of Final Fantasy Dimensions by a whopping 10 dollars.

That's 50 percent off the regular asking price, and if you're familiar with the way Squeenix prices their titles, that's pretty generous.

Standing at a healthy 4.4 (out of 5) rating out of 776 user reviews, Final Fantasy Dimensions is arguably one of the most well-liked picks in the developer's entire mobile library.

Like Final Fantasy V, the gameplay is given some variety with a "Job Change" system that allows you to try a wide range of character types, making for a total of 18 different classes once you've got everything unlocked.

Unfortunately, none of Square Enix's other games are getting any kind of discount, but maybe they'll sweeten the pot during their second Android anniversary party.

There's no telling how long the sale will be in effect, but it's a good deal if you like your traditional Japanese RPGs—Final Fantasy Dimensions can be downloaded at Google Play right now for $9.99 on any smartphone or tablet with Android 2.3.3 or better.
